MOBILE TECHNOLOGY ON THE MOVE;-

The Internet is no stranger to rapid innovation. But the pace of change today
is unprecedented. People are turning to their iPhones, iPads and other
mobile devices to access the Internet at an incredible pace.

  “It’s
a monster market trend,” said John Doerr, a celebrated venture
capitalist and partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. “It is
just getting started.”The
impact of that change was the most consistent topic at the Web 2.0
Summit in San Francisco, where some of the most powerful leaders of the
Internet have gathered for the three-day conference.

Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive and founder of Facebook, was one of the few who largely steered clear of the mobile topic.Instead,
he responded to criticism raised by Google’s chief executive Eric
Schmidt, who the day before sat in the same chair at the Summit and said
Facebook was hoarding its users’ data.

   Schmidt
had criticized Facebook for not letting users take all the information
in their profiles and export it to other social networks.

     Zuckerberg
responded by saying Facebook’s Connect is the largest and most advanced
system at any social network to let people export information from
their profiles. He acknowledged that it might not be perfect, but right
now the company was more focused on giving users better control over how
they share information.

“I think we’re not 100 percent right on this,” Zuckerberg said. “But we’re trying to think through all of this.”

In five years, people will
become more interested in being able to export information from their
profiles, but right now they are more focused on privacy issues,
Zuckerberg said.

“A lot of people right now are just on the side of having better user control,” he said.

Tim
O’Reilly, founder of Sebastopol-based O’Reilly Media, which co-produces
the conference, cautioned Zuckerberg to not let privacy concerns overly
impede innovation.

“We have to push boundaries,” O’Reilly said. “If we set boundaries too early, we won’t figure it out.”

Facebook’s
influence in the tech sector continues to grow, as evidenced when Carol
Bartz, chief executive of Yahoo!, was asked to describe the social
network in one word while onstage at the conference.

“Competition,” she said.

A
day earlier, Facebook had announced a new messaging system expected to
compete with the popular e-mail services provided by Yahoo, Google and
others.

While Zuckerberg was the rock star of the day’s influential speakers, the hottest topic was the mobile Internet.

By
2012, more smartphones will be sold globally than computers, said Mary
Meeker, a long-time Internet analyst with Morgan Stanley who provided
her annual trend update at the conference. People have started using
Apple’s iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch at a far faster pace than they began
using Netscape Navigator and AOL in the mid-1990s.

The
public’s appetite for wireless access to the Internet is booming, and
has been an enormous challenge to telecommunication companies, said John
Donovan, chief technology officer for AT&T.

“It’s an insatiable appetite,” he said. “There is not enough capital in the world to build a network to meet peak demand.”

Jim Balsillie, chief
executive of Research in Motion, which makes the Blackberry, talked
almost exclusively about how his line of phones will provide people the
best experience accessing the Internet. And he made it clear that it was
not in a closed system like Apple’s iPhone.

“You can bring mobile to the Web,” he said. “You don’t need an app for the Web.”

Zuckerberg, who was the last speaker of the night, finished his remarks with a few thoughts on the mobile Web.

Facebook already has 200 million mobile users, he said.

“The mobile platform is just getting started,” he said. “It’s going to enable really good things over the next few years.”

NEW SCANNING TECHNOLOGY TO BODY IS ON ATLANTIC CITY AIRPORT;-

BODY SCANNING TECHNOLOGY

Atlantic City
International Airport is scheduled to get full-body scanners early
next year, an airport spokesman said Tuesday. The scanners allow government security personnel to search
passengers for non-metallic weapons such as plastic explosives that
they might try to conceal in their clothing. They are used in
conjunction with metal detectors and other security measures.

But the scanners are unpopular with some travelers who consider
them an invasion of privacy and a potential health risk. Some New
Jersey lawmakers are calling on Congress to re-examine the
technology.

A CBS News poll this month found that 81 percent of Americans
support the use of the digital body scans used at airports. But
some people have objected to the intrusion. In one example, a San
Diego man refused to undergo the invasive scan or allow
Transportation Security Administration screeners to pat him
down.

The TSA has employed a combination of security measures —
including canine teams, chemical testing for explosives and
passenger observation — to identify possible security threats at
airports.

Atlantic City International Airport is working with the TSA on
the details about the new body scans, including making room for
them in the airport’s screening lines, airport security spokesman
Kevin Rehmann said.

“We’re in discussions now with the TSA. We want to ensure (the
scans) won’t cause any inconvenience,” he said. “But having said
that, TSA is introducing these things across the country. They may
be the technology of the future.”

The airport was one of the first in the country last year to
employ Exit Lane Security Portals, smart doors that prevent
arriving passengers from returning to the terminal from baggage
claim.

Body scanners are being introduced at most commercial airports
in the United States. About 450 scanners have been installed at 68
airports. The TSA uses two types of imaging scanners: millimeter
wave and backscatter. The latter uses a mild form of radiation.

State Sen. Diane B. Allen, R-Burlington, sponsored a resolution
this week asking President Barack Obama to examine the safety of
backscatter scanners.

“The risk to an individual is small. But there is a concern with
children or frequent fliers — certainly pilots — pregnant women or
patients who have had radiation treatments,” Allen said.

CNN reported that several pilots’ unions have urged their
members not to subject themselves to the scans for health reasons.
The TSA says both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the
Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory deemed the
radiation dose emitted by the scanners to be safe.

“For people who can’t take the radiation, the only option is to
submit to a pat down that is really beyond the pale,” Allen said.
“I mean, women are really complaining about this pat down.”

The TSA said people can request to be seated during the pat down
or ask to be searched in a private room.

Allen said the idea of scanners capturing images of virtually
naked passengers — including children — is troubling.

“Taking pictures of someone’s naked body is a big question.
Particularly when it comes to children. I think that’s beyond what
we should be doing,” she said.

Like countless other New Jersey residents, Allen said she will
be flying this month to visit family over the Thanksgiving holiday.
She said she is not looking forward to the new security
procedures.

“I’ll be in the air a lot over the next two weeks. I’m sure I’ll
have to endure those intrusive pat downs,” she said.

Sen. Jeff Van Drew, D-Cape May, Cumberland, Atlantic, said he
supports reviewing the new security measure.

“It’s a bipartisan effort. They make a significant argument,”
Van Drew said. “At the very least, this deserves to be very
carefully reviewed.”

Van Drew, a Dennis Township dentist by occupation, said the
radiation dose emitted in dental X-rays is minuscule but still
requires certain precautions to be taken for both the patient and
staff. Using X-rays for non-medical applications raises concerns,
he said.

“We need to do whatever we can to secure our borders and
airports. But there is a line, and the points they make about
people who are frequent fliers — or about personal freedoms — are
valid,” he said.

NETWORK MARKETING AND ITS BIG-BIG ADVANTAGES

WHAT IS NETWORK MARKETING

IT IS A BUSINESS THAT MAKE ANY MAN FROM ZERO TO HERO. IT IS A BUSINESS THAT CAN MAKE ANY MAN BILLIONAIRE THE BIGGEST EXAMPLES ARE -DONAL TRIUMPH AND ROBERT KIOSK .

It is a method of marketing that utilizes independent representatives to
reach potential customers that a company otherwise would not reach with
traditional online or offline marketing methods.

ADVANTAGES OF NETWORK MARKETING :-

There
are several advantages to network marketing opportunities. Most of them
are more personal than business, but, they are advantages all the same:

•    Increased personal time – it is the desire of most of us to have
an abundance of time for ourselves and family. Network marketing
affords the opportunity to do so.

•    Working from home – the ability to do business from home is
attractive within itself. But, the choice of whether to leave the house
or not (avoiding the need to gas up the vehicle) is an advantage that
makes working from home enticing.

•    Creating a personal and business schedule – developing sound
schedules that foster relationships personally and generate repeat business professionally due to consistency and commitment is crucial.

•    Income control – the ability to control the amount of income made is unique with network marketing opportunities. The amount of time put in on the job is a good indicator of the amount of money that will be made.

The Right Personality Traits

Drive, confidence, knowledge, persistence, light aggression and
tolerance are all traits that are generally evident in those who
participate in network marketing opportunities.
If
you are driven to get a certain amount of people or money; if you are
persistent when turned down; if you're aggressive enough to go get what
you want, or if you can tolerate excuses, then this business might be a
good fit for you.

The Nature of the Business

Because of the nature of the business, i.e. the length of time in
industry, product knowledge, etc., perspective clients remain uncertain.
Only with proven performance and guaranteed return at some level, does
uncertainty turn into certainty. So, it is incumbent upon the investor
to know the product and be able to present it with a certain amount of
confidence and knowledge in an effort to get the business.

HOW TO INCREASE LAPTOP RAM (MEMORY):-

LAPTOP IS VERY USEFUL TOOL FOR EVERYONE .IT CONSIDERED AS A SECOND BRAIN FOR HU MAN BEING. WE KNOW THAT HUMAN MEMORY HAS UNLIMITED STORAGE CAPACITY.BUT THE MACHINE (OUR SECOND BRAIN) HASN'T. HENCE SOMETIMES WE HAVE TO INC. THE OUR SECOND MEMORY TO STORE EXTRA DATA

NOW STEPS TO INC. THE SECOND BRAIN MEMORY CALLED AS RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY OF YOUR LAPTOP:-

  • Know your random access memory (RAM). This is what your computer
utilizes to run the operating system and all the programs in your
laptop. You need RAM for web browsing, opening files, listening to music
    and playing games.
It is most important in games. Whether you own a MAC Book or PC Laptop,
the best ram you can get is DDR2 SDRAM (double data rate, second
generation Synchronous Dynamic RAM). Look for DDR2 SDRAM that can reach
    speeds up to 400MH2.

    • Know your laptop. You have to know what kind and how much RAM
you already have in your laptop. You can find out by reading your
owner's manual. Make sure you have a Torx screwdriver and locate all the
important openings so you can easily get access to the memory ports
      later.

      • Order your RAM. You can order your RAM from a computer store
or online. Make sure the store you choose offers some kind of warranty
or replacement. It is common to buy damaged memory modules due to their
size and fragility. Crucial.com offers a lifetime warranty, free deliver
        and free support.

        • Install
your RAM. Installing RAM is very simple. Before opening and working
with your laptop, make sure you are not on a carpet. Walking or opening
any metal casing will cause a ground or small shock. Place your computer
and tools on an uncarpeted floor. Open your laptop according to your
owner's manual. Install your new RAM.

HOW TO INCREASE YOUR MOBILE PHONE BATTERY LIFE:-

Everyone is embarrassed with his mobile phone battery life.He uses only 1 or 2 hour phone ans his mobile phone battery is over.I know guys this is very disgusting  .So here is the solution to INCREASE YOUR MOBILE OHONE BATTERY LIFE.

While many of us now use mobile phones in place of land-line phones in
our homes, the primary benefit of mobile phones remains their
portability. A mobile phone is only as portable as its power source,
however, so to get the most out of your phone you need to get the most
out of your battery. When it comes to battery life, there are two
separate, but connected, considerations: how to make the battery last
longer between charges, and how to prolong the overall life of the
battery.

STEPS TO INCREASE YOUR MOBILE PHONE BATTERY LIFE:-

  1. Turn the phone off. This will probably be the most
effective and simple way of conserving your battery’s power. Why? This
will help conserve energy and also charge your phone. If you don't plan
on answering the phone while you're sleeping or after business hours,
just turn it off. Do the same if you are in an area with no reception
(such as a subway or remote area, since constantly searching for service
depletes the battery fairly quickly. Some phones have an automatic
power save feature, but it takes about 30 minutes with no service to
kick in. By then, much battery power has been used. If you don't need to
receive or make calls but are using a smartphone as a PDA, disable the
    phone functionality (flight mode).

  2. Stop searching for a signal. When you are in an area
with poor or no signal, your phone will constantly look for a better
connection, and will use up all your power doing so. This is easily
understood if you have ever forgotten to turn off your phone on a
flight. The best way to ensure longer battery life is to make sure you
have a great signal where you use your phone. If you don't have a
perfect signal, get a cell phone repeater which will amplify the signal
to provide near perfect reception anywhere.

  3. Switch the vibrate function off on your phone, using just the ring tone. The vibrate function uses additional battery power. Keep the ring tone volume as low as possible.

  4. Turn off your phone's back light. The back light is
what makes the phone easier to read in bright light or outside. However,
the light also uses battery power. If you can get by without it, your
battery will last longer. If you have to use the back light, many phones
will let you set the amount of time to leave the back light on. Shorten
that amount of time. Usually, one or two seconds will be sufficient.
Some phones have an ambient light sensor, which can turn off the back
light in bright conditions and enable it in darker ones.

  5. Avoid using unnecessary features. If you know it will
be a while before your phone’s next charge, don’t use the camera or
connect to the Internet. Flash photography can drain your battery
    especially quickly.

  6. Keep calls short. This is obvious, but how many times
have you heard someone on their mobile phone say, "I think my battery’s
dying," and then continue their conversation for several minutes?
Sometimes, the dying battery is just an excuse to get off the phone (and
a good one, at that), but if you really need to conserve the battery,
    limit your talk time.

  7. Turn off Bluetooth. It will drain your battery very quickly.

  8. Same goes for WIFI, GPS, and infrared capabilities, if your phone has these features built in. Keep them off except when you need them to save power.

  9. Use GSM rather than 3G - Using your phone in 3G / Dual
Mode will drain the battery quicker than if you just use GSM mode - have
a look at your phones spec and you'll see it will quote two different
battery life times - normally 50% more for pure GSM use
    .
